The desktop app is Lida
A website cannot see your desktop, so Lida runs as a Windows app beside your work. Everything it does happens on top of the app you are already using.
What you see on screen
- A status pill at the top of the screen. It shows whether Lida is guiding, teaching or acting, which step it is on, and a stop button.
- Lida's cursor, which moves to the control it is talking about. In Guide mode a ring lands on that control; in Agent mode it shows each control Lida clicks or types into.
- Captions of what Lida says, shown word by word as it speaks, when you turn them on.
- An approval card whenever Lida is about to do something risky for you. Nothing risky happens until you allow it.
Starting a session
Open the app and say what you want to do, for example “show me how to export this” or “file this ticket for me”. Lida works out where you are from what is on screen and goes from there.
Credits
Session time uses credits. 1 credit is about 1 minute of Lida working with you. Your plan and what you have left are on your account page, and the plans are on the pricing page.
Availability
Lida is in private preview on Windows, and invites go out in waves. One account works everywhere: request access here, then sign in to the app with the same login.
